The Worst Kind of Pride
In considering the great "woe" upon Jerusalem in Isaiah 29, and referring to the charge in vv13-14, Webb writes, "False religion is the very worst kind of pride because it attempts to make God our servant instead of recognizing that we are his." - p124.
